NHS Director of Operations - Surgery and Cancer

MLC Partners are supporting a reputable NHS Trust who are seeking a Director of Operations to oversee Surgical and Cancer services.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing surgical services and cancer to ensure efficient and effective delivery of care
- Driving improvements in theatre utilisation, ensuring optimal use of resources and timely scheduling of procedures
- Leading on bed management improvement
- Monitoring and analysing performance metrics, including income and activity, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and accountability among staff members.
You will need to demonstrate:
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge of NHS policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage competing demands.
