Our client is seeking a Locum to join their team on a rolling contract -immediate start!
Responsibilities:
The role encompasses a variety of tasks including:
- Serving as the primary Solicitor for Housing Disrepair cases, emphasizing effective client representation.
- Handling all facets of legal work related to housing disrepair and litigation.
- Supervising housing disrepair cases from pre-litigation through litigation stages.
- Representing the Council in court proceedings and conducting advocacy as necessary.
- Negotiating and drafting intricate and sensitive agreements and documents within the realm of Housing Disrepair and litigation, while devising clear case strategies.
- Evaluating evidence concerning Housing Disrepair cases, assessing prospects of success, and considering the public interest in pursuing cases.
Requirements:
- Qualified Lawyer (Solicitors, Barristers, and CILEX Fellows).
- Previous experience practicing in Housing Law.
- Ability to quickly adapt to a locum role in a hybrid working environment.
- Capability to work autonomously within a dynamic team.
- Must hold a UK Solicitor qualification.
The role is inside IR35 and the hourly rate is up to £27ph PAYE. Excellent working environment , 2 days a week in the office, flexible working and free parking!
