As the Associate Director, you will lead the Transportation and Active Travel team, driving forward exciting projects that shape the future of local communities. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to key business strategies, manage high-profile client relationships, and mentor a team of engineers and consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, adopting a collaborative and partnership-focused approach.
- Lead and mentor your team, ensuring quality project delivery and maintaining utilisation targets.
- Develop a pipeline of forward work, ensuring projects meet quality, financial, and client satisfaction goals.
- Manage transportation and active travel projects, including development control, local authority transport strategies, and active travel initiatives.
- Prepare and assist with bid submissions and frameworks, ensuring business growth and client engagement.
- Lead operational meetings, managing resources and project oversight across regional teams.
What We're Looking For:
- Expertise in transportation and active travel planning, particularly in London and the South-East.
- Proven track record of managing transportation projects for local authorities.
- Strong financial and business management skills, including project budgeting and commercial management.
- Network of consultant, contractor, and developer contacts to assist in the growth and development of business targets.
- Experience in leading teams, mentoring staff, and developing innovative project solutions.
- Track record of continuous improvement and innovation in design and delivery processes
- Chartered status with CIHT and a relevant degree.
