Position: Management Accountant

Location: Wilmslow Area

Employment Type: Part-Time (20-30 hours per week)

Wage: Up to £35,000 Pro Rata

My client is a dynamic and growing small business group with interests in multiple sectors. The businesses is rooted in the Wilmslow area, and we are looking for a talented and motivated Management Accountant to join our team. Job Description:

As a Management Accountant, you will be essential to our financial operations, providing accurate financial information and analysis to support strategic decision-making. You will work closely with our management team to ensure the financial health and efficiency of our businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Decision Support: Provide financial insights and analysis to assist in business decision-making.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Manage budgets, forecasts, and conduct variance analysis.
  • Process Improvement: Oversee and enhance financial processes and controls.
  • Liaison: Work with external accountants on year-end financial statements and tax compliance.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring liquidity for operations.
  • Strategy Development: Assist in creating financial strategies and business plans.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis: Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as required by management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified or Part Qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Management Accountant, ideally within a small business environment.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting. Proficiency in Sage and Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
