Are you from a commercial or business development background with experience of working on high-end management services contract in the energy, construction or oil & gas markets?

On offer in an outstanding opportunity to play a pivotal role in developing and selling commercial services to the energy markets to enhance the company's market position and financial growth.

You will be responsible for the commercial development of service-based commercial activities, optimising profitability, and fostering strong client relationships.

You will be an exceptional candidate from a technical services background used to delivering high value technical services efficiently and at scale over the long term and be passionate about driving commercial success, leading teams, and shaping business strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Commercial and business development on sustainable energy management services contracts
  • Develop and execute effective commercial strategies in alignment with company goals and objectives and manage business development/technical sales team.
  • Develop existing services the company provides to operational projects, and projects in construction, including EPC-M, asset management, operations management, and asset optimisation.
  • Identify new business opportunities, market trends and regulatory opportunities to expand the company's commercial base and pursue business development activities to support agreed new business strategies.
  • Develop and promote company branding in support of commercial activities.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, partnerships, and agreements with clients and suppliers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with projects, trading, marketing, finance, and operations to ensure alignment and support for commercial initiatives.
  • Monitor performance metrics, prepare reports, and provide insights to senior management for informed decision-making.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners to promote strategic objectives and enhance the company's opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM, Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or related field; MBA or relevant post-graduate degree preferred.
  • Experience in business or commercial development or a similar role preferably within the energy sector, or other engineering sector.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
