Backend PHP Developer - Up to £45,000 - Brighton - 9 Day Fortnight

Our client is a creative and professional agency who create award-winning work. They have a range of diverse clients, including commercial, Not for Profit, and NGO organizations. They are seeking a Backend Developer to support their team of front and backend developers, designers, and account managers.
Role Overview:
- Support requests, project work, and enhancing internal tools and procedures.
- Use TYPO3 CMS, with training provided.
- Deploy code to production within the first week; handle support tickets independently within the first month.
- Collaborate using a hosted Git environment.
- Work from the office in Brighton twice a week.
Interview Process:
- Two or three interviews with the CTO and team members.
- No technical interviews; meetings are conversational.
Responsibilities:
- Develop on live projects and existing websites.
- Support the backend development team.
- Perform upgrades and conversions.
- Collaborate on documentation.
- Assist designers and account managers with debugging and issue explanations.
Required Skills:
- PHP and MySQL experience.
- Comfortable with Composer.
- Strong communication skills.
- Understanding of version control.
- Preferably command line experience (sys-admin is a plus).
- Willingness to learn and grow.
