We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Accountant to join a busy finance team for a small family run business that has over 20 years' experience within their field of event planning.
The successful candidate will support the finance function and Finance Manager in managing the financial operations of the group, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

What will you do as an Assistant Accountant?
- Assist in the preparation of management accounts and reports
- Process purchase orders, invoices, payments, and receipts
- Reconcile bank statements and other key control accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed
What do you need as an Assistant Accountant?
- AAT qualification as a minimum - CIMA or ACCA studying
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software preferably Xero
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
