ROLE- Mechanical Design / Manufacturing Engineer
LOCATION- Berkshire
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £40,000- £52,000 per annum dependent on experience (Please advise what you're looking for)
My engineering client are looking to take on an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with manufacturing skills, on a permanent basis, in the Berkshire area.
The Mechanical Design Engineer / Manufacturing
Engineer
will ideally have the following attributes:
- NVQ/ HNC / HND / Degree qualification in a Mechanical Engineering
- 4 years' or more experience working in another similar hands on Design / Manufacturing role
- Proficient working with 3D CAD - SolidWorks or similar
- Excellent knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
- Knowledge of FMEA, PPAP and APQP would be desirable
- Be familiar with ISO9001 quality standards
- Be able to pay close attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Able to work well alone as well as part of a small team
The Mechanical Design Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer role will involve:
- Supporting the engineering and production team with the design and development of products
- Being involved in NPI activities
- Providing engineering support
- Using SolidWorks CAD software on a regular basis
- Being involved with process development
- Working to the companies Health & Safety requirements
- Creating and updating BOM's
