Class 1 Driver - Cargo Operative / Level D
Vanta Staffing Slough is recruiting a Class 1 Driver to work for our client in and around the Heathrow area. This will involve trunking work, a perfect role for drivers who want consistent work with a prestigious company.
As a Class 1 Driver, you will need to have:
- Minimum 18 months HGV driving (Cat C+E) recent experience.
- Basic DBS
- Cargo Operative/Level D qualification and a copy of certificate and training report.
- Have a valid CPC and digi tacho
- No more than 6 points (No DR or IN)
- Must have the correct PPE - HI Vis and Safety Boots
Class 1 Driver Details:
- Salary: £20ph - Days / £22ph – Nights / £22ph – £23ph weekends
- Nights out shifts are involved. (sleeping In lorry after shift)
- Working hours: Various shifts (Days or Nights) across seven days a week
- Location: Heathrow
- Duration: Ongoing work
Role of a Class 1 Driver
- Complete trunking runs a shift; trailer swapping will be involved
- Complete airport shifts waiting on airport for shipments to deliver to warehouses around Heathrow airport.
- Complete vehicle checks
- Being flexible and able to complete runs safely
