SACM Analyst

We're recruiting for a role requiring keen data analyst skills, a passion to learn new technologies, and a willingness to engage with stakeholders across the business.

The Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day configuration of data held within a centralised Configuration Management Database (CMDB) ensuring it is up-to-date and accurate.

What you'll be doing as a SACM Analyst

  • Undertake data insertion and updating activities within the CMDB ensuring accuracy and quality
  • Implement tasks to achieve the Configuration Management Plan in accordance with priority need.
  • Contribute towards supporting the CMDB ensuring appropriate regular housekeeping is performed.
  • Support verification and audit activities of the CMDB to confirm all CIs are relevant and align to architectural mapping.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of the Configuration Management Plan.
  • Work alongside stakeholders to identify and establish Configuration Items (CIs) for inclusion within the CMDB.
  • As appropriate, contribute towards the running of the platform by ensuring best practice and suitable governance processes are implemented and functional.
  • Track the progress and variation across changing states of CIs. When a CI moves through lifecycle phases, the status changes should be recorded.

Base Location: Reading - Hybrid
