We are seeking a Demand Planner to join our close knit and family-oriented team, operating within the BWS (Beer, Wines & Spirits) industry. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for forecasting and inventory management, who has exposure to both Supply and Demand Planning, with a desire to make a significant impact in a dynamic sector.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and execute demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation as part of the demand planning function.
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
  • Interact with sales, marketing, Logistics and Stock Control departments to understand demand forecast drivers.
  • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with the above departments to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
  • Provide input to the Supply Planning process by supporting the development of inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
  • Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Demand Planner or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of demand forecasting techniques and inventory management practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work with large data sets.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams.
  • Proactive nature, with an ability to work independently and make well-thought-out decisions.
  • Knowledge of the BWS industry is a plus, but not essential.
