£31,287 - £33,405 per annum

Meridian Business Support is proud to collaborate with a state-of-the-art college in Wales. They seek an experienced and qualified Electrical Engineering Assessor to assess and deliver engineering courses to their students.

Key Duties:

As an Electrical Engineering Assessor, you will:

  • Develop and deliver work-based training and assessment programmes within your area of expertise.
  • Generate new local and regional business relationships to increase work-based learning activities and maintain your caseload.
  • Work under the direction of the area coordinator.

Responsibilities include:

  • Promoting and delivering the College's vision, values, and corporate behaviours.
  • Building positive professional relationships with staff and learners.
  • Advocating the College's strategic plan and its values, driving change and enterprise.
  • Being an active participant in the "One College" culture, focused on strengthening the valleys through excellent education, skills, and training.
  • Adapting flexibly to respond to business needs and changing markets.
  • Developing, delivering, and assessing work-based learning activities in line with personal competencies.
  • Conducting health and safety pre-placement audits and ongoing workplace monitoring.
  • Participating in recruitment, initial assessment, and induction processes.
  • Monitoring learner progress and performance to ensure targets within Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) are met.
  • Incorporating cross-cutting themes, such as ESDGC, ESWs, and Welsh, into delivery and assessment processes.
  • Participating in the internal verification process within your area of expertise.
  • Ensuring learners are registered for appropriate qualifications and complete them within allocated timeframes.
  • Engaging in the college quality framework to achieve and maintain high standards for training and assessment.
  • Completing all relevant documentation related to the work-based learning contract within timescales and audit requirements.
  • Liaising with college staff to maintain learners' progress and targets in relation to the apprenticeship framework.
  • Marketing programmes to employers, potential learners, and external agencies.

Additional Duties:

  • Producing accurate and timely information for the area coordinator regarding targets and performance.
  • Supporting the area coordinator in achieving Key Performance Indicator targets.
  • Assisting the area coordinator in producing self-assessment reports.
  • Supporting the Head of School in developing strategies to maintain a strong identity both internally and externally.
  • Complying with HR policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Adhering to Health and Safety policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Following Financial Regulations and Procedures.
