This specialist community specialist school is currently seeking a SEN Trainee Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis from October 2024. This role is needed due to a current member of the support team relocating to the South West. This inspiring school is a specialist local authority provision that supports 85 pupils with learning disabilities and additional needs. The school supports pupils from all walks of life from the age of 4-16 years. The school offers an inclusive, safe and inviting environment where every child can achieve, succeed and break down any boundaries that they might have encountered in mainstream education. This school benefits from a long standing senior leadership team with clear vision for the future in addition the school has been recently refurbished and now offers free flowing, bright and inviting learning environments classrooms, therapy and sensory rooms. In this role as Trainee Teacher; your role will be to provide high quality, challenging and differentiated educational activities and sensory experiences through the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum to small groups on a 1;1 basis and in some cases in the teaching of small classrooms of learners. This is a 2 year training programme in this period you will be given the training and qualifications to become a teacher in this setting.

Experience working or volunteering with children or young adults (desirable)

GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent

Eligibility to work in the UK
