Robert Half are exclusively engaged on a new Finance Assistant (AR) position based in Welwyn Garden City.
The role is offered with Hybrid working, after the initial probation period, and will support an established finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable (AR) Tasks:
- Generating and sending out customer invoices.
- Monitoring and following up on outstanding receivables.
- Applying cash receipts to customer accounts.
- Investigating and resolving customer queries related to invoices or payments.
- Performing regular customer account reconciliations.
General Ledger (GL) Maintenance:
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Posting journal entries and maintaining accurate GL records.
- Reconciling bank account.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Audit Support:
- Assisting auditors during year-end audits.
- Providing requested documentation and explanations for audit inquiries.
Ad Hoc Analysis and Projects:
- Conducting financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Participating in process improvement initiatives.
- Assisting in special projects such as system implementations or process enhancements.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborating with colleagues across departments (e.g., Operations, managers) to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Communicating financial information effectively to stakeholders.
The role of Finance Assistant (AR) is offered with a salary of up to £30,000 plus benefits.
