Control Systems Engineer
Location: Northamptonshire
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum
Company Overview: KAP Technical is excited to offer an opportunity for a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our client's team.
Our client specialises in projects within the manufacturing, sectors.
Role Responsibilities:
As a Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
- Software Development:

Develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA software to meet project requirements.

Write detailed functional design specifications.

Create associated documentation for software and hardware solutions.
- Customer Interaction:
-
Communicate with customers to understand their requirements.

Provide engineering proposals, including cost estimates.
- Project Management:
-
Adhere to project budgets and deadlines.

Deliver projects with control software and process safety systems engineering design.
- Systems Design and Commissioning:
-
Carry out full control systems design.

Perform site commissioning.

Provide post-installation support.
- Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum 3 years of experience in PLC, HMI, and SCADA software development.

Clean driving license.

Ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Familiarity with industrial networks (e.g., Profibus, Profinet).

Knowledge of safety systems design and programming (advantageous).

Experience with Siemens PLC preferred (training provided).

Willingness to occasionally work away from home and on weekends.

Ability to understand electrical drawings.

Background in engineering environments.
