Job Description:
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career? My client is seeking a dynamic and skilled individual to join the team in Leeds. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality services to clients whilst playing a key part in the day-to-day running of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand contractual terms and conditions.
- Prepare take-off and material schedules
- Prepare and analyse project costings for labour, plant, material and sub-contract items including sub-contractor comparisons
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities and Activity Schedules
- Negotiate contracts terms, attendances and payment schedules
- Prepare and issue subcontractor orders, overseeing all commercial performance throughout the contract duration
- Perform risk, value management and cost control during construction
- Undertake cost analysis
- Advise on a procurement strategy
- Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks
- Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes
- Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports
- Value completed work (AFP), oversee bills and arrange payments within the payment schedule timeline
- Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use
- Price variations and Compensation Events
- Prepare Loss and Expense Claims and EOTs
