Software Engineer required by a leading technology / software compare based in the centre of Brighton. The Software Engineer will work with an awesome team in an awesome company culture and be involved in software development / coding as well as configuration and a lot of problem solving. Core skills will include C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core / .NET 5 and SQL Server. A few details about the role

As a Software Engineer you will be part of an awesome team responsible for the successful development of both internal and external software development projects, focusing predominantly on bespoke products and systems. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Utilising skills in C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET Core / .NET 5 and SQL Server / MSSQL
  • Contribute to estimates and actively participate in Agile planning activities
  • Configuration and deployment management for project releases
  • Designing and creating templates
  • Supporting the Product Owner and Project Manager in back logs
  • Unit testing and code reviews
  • Problem solving technical issues
  • Assist QA and software application testing team when required

What you will need

Desire is fantastic but you will also need the following:

  • Software Developments skills (C#, ASP.NET MVC, SQL, Web Api)
  • Git
  • Agile / TDD (Test Driven Development)
  • Object Oriented design skills (Design patters, SOLID)
  • Any experience with .NET Core / .NET 5, Kubernetes, Docker will be an advantage but not essential.
