Product Manager

I am currently recruiting for a Product Manager for a rapidly growing tour operator who are based in Wiltshire. You will be responsible for the output and delivery of the product pipeline team, managing the team's workload and ensuring that all requirements of trading are met. Product lies at the heart of this growing business who are building the strength and experience within their Product Team, now is the time to join this very successful travel company and with a fantastic basic salary of up to £50000.00 plus great company benefits what are you waiting for???

THE ROLE:

  • To converse confidently and professionally to cruise lines and their account managers on a regular basis to ensure all product needs are agreed to, that will achieve agreed targets
  • To lead and direct all workload appropriately to the product developers, prioritising their daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
  • Work closely with the trading, product support, contracting and the marketing teams to ensure capacities and new products are handed over in a timely manner
  • To coach, mentor and review work set with the product Developers to ensure all needs of the pipeline are met and are built to deliver to the KPI's with agreed volumes
  • To confidently pitch new products to the team and to the wider senior management team, presenting facts, any historical data, and any rate suggestions
  • To manage the pipeline, planner, and monthly product plans, to ensure that the documents are kept up to date and all deadlines are kept on top of and delivered upon
  • To be fully aware and on top of key competitor activity, to be signed up to all competitor e-shots and to be reviewing midweek and weekend press advertising
  • Review the commercial and operational performance of each product both on sale and off sale to capture the success for future products and to assess any areas of improvement moving forward

EXPERIENCE:

  • Passionate about travel and keen/able to travel to and research a range of destinations
  • Commercially astute, numerate and comfortable with analytics, pricing, negotiating, ROI and yield management
  • Comfortable working as part of a dynamic team and able to show individual initiative
  • Experience of managing a small team - with a focus on leadership, KPI's and development
  • Comfortable working with other teams - Purchasing, Operations, Marketing, Sales and Finance - and able to agree timescales and delivery through influencing skills
  • Able to balance future planning with fast-moving and high pressure trading needs
  • Travel knowledge and experience of the Cruise Market and competitor strategies.

THE PACKAGE:

The successful candidate can expect a very competitive salary in the region of £50,000 plus great travel industry & company benefits! This is a fully office based position based in Wiltshire.
