Position: Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant (Full Time)
Location: Kirkby
Start Date: Monday 30th September

About the Role: A vibrant and inclusive primary school in Knowsley is looking for a Level 3 Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from Monday 30th September 2024. This exciting opportunity involves working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping to provide a supportive and stimulating learning environment that enables young learners to thrive.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality care and education, ensuring that all children feel valued, safe, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Working with small groups or individual children to promote learning and development, including literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Assisting in the preparation of resources and learning materials for EYFS activities, including both indoor and outdoor learning.
  • Promoting children's emotional, social, and physical development by fostering a caring and nurturing environment.
  • Observing and recording children's progress and development, and supporting the teacher in assessing and adapting lessons as needed.
  • Ensuring a safe and inclusive learning space that meets the needs of all pupils, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Supporting children during lunchtime, break periods, and other school activities as required.
  • Contributing to the wider school community, including liaising with parents and carers to support pupils' well-being and development.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, with a focus on EYFS.
  • Previous experience working in an EYFS setting is essential.
  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude towards working with young children.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and an understanding of child development.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children in line with school policies.
