Our client, a prominent player in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a dedicated Stores Assistant on a temp to perm basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the stores in compliance with BS EN ISO 9001:2015 and the client's quality system.
- Monitor stock levels and carry out stock checks to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Generate purchase orders for stock and consumable items.
- Source competitive pricing for supplies to optimise costs.
- Use a forklift for unloading, stacking deliveries, and moving materials as needed.
- Receive goods, book items on Job Boss and Excel, and allocate Goods Received Notes (GRNs).
- Issue stock and record transactions on Job Boss.
- Compile material picking lists and ensure accurate labelling of materials.
- Return rejected goods to suppliers promptly and ensure proper labelling and recording.
- Monitor and replenish personal protection equipment (PPE) and keep accurate records.
- Monitor compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
- Address any issues in the stores promptly and effectively.
- Perform any other tasks as reasonably requested by management.
Job Requirements:
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate a forklift (certification preferred but not required).
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Excel.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures.
