GI Group are now seeking to appoint a Project Manager to our public sector client based in the Black Country. The Project Manager will support a Programme Lead with the implementation of a Shared Care programme across multiple organisations.

Main Duties of the Project Manager:

  • Develop robust monitoring and action planning processes to assist the Assistant Director IT and Digital in developing a cohesive approach towards programme management of the Digital programme.
  • Manage a team of staff and have day to day and line management responsibility for them.
  • Provide specialist advice on project, programme and portfolio management.
  • Engage senior managers including executive directors and senior consultants in highly complex service development and change issues using appropriate communication methods and channels
  • Use analytical skills to develop and interpret highly complex data and clinical information to inform and develop new solutions based on extending existing systems and processes
  • Lead, direct and co-ordinate a broad range of complex activities, a number of which are ongoing, requiring the formulation and adjustment of plans or strategies
  • Contribute to the drawing up of the work budget, responsible for the monitoring of the budget and reporting progress at relevant business meetings. This includes responsibility for taking corrective action to ensure the delivery of a balanced programme budget

Role Requirements:

  • Registered DIGITAL Professional - PRINCE2 and MSP
  • Educated to relevant Masters Degree level or equivalent experience
  • Significant management experience in a senior role including staff management
  • Experience of successfully leading and implementing projects / programmes at a national level
  • Expertise in delivering highly specialist project and programme management services and extensive experience in tailoring methodologies to suite the local environment
  • Experience of managing budgets Experience of working with commercial suppliers and external agencies
  • Experience of successfully leading and implementing project driven change management
  • Willingness and ability to work flexibly across the Black Country area
