We are seeking a dedicated Pension Administrator to join my clients dynamic team, delivering the highest standards of customer service in pension administration. This role is pivotal in maintaining strong relationships with a portfolio of bespoke clients, understanding their unique processes and needs, and providing support during peak periods for our broader client base.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Oversee and manage a bank of bespoke clients, fulfilling all duties of a Pension Administrator.
  • Support client work as needed, ensuring all responsibilities are met.
  • Handle day-to-day team workloads, including inbox inquiries and client interactions.
  • Assist in training and development of peers, providing support and coaching using various systems and processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files and documentation.
  • Stay informed of industry developments, legislative changes, and client updates.
  • Implement new clients and manage new business for existing clients efficiently.
  • Administer group pensions, including data validation, auto-enrolment assessments, payroll deduction schedules, and liaising with pension providers and regulators.
  • Respond to employer and employee queries and identify opportunities for added value.
  • Comply with regular audits and maintain meticulous records.
  • Arrange and conduct conference calls and meetings with clients as required.
  • Prioritise and manage workload effectively, volunteering for additional tasks during quieter periods.
  • Identify and correct errors in client processes, reporting to management as necessary.
  • Provide holiday and buddy cover to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Oversee remedial work and audit projects to ensure timely and accurate outcomes for clients.
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness, utilising Service Level Agreements and identifying sales opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • CII qualifications are desirable.
  • Experience in a customer services role.
  • Knowledge and experience of pensions administration is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Excel, MS Teams, and Outlook is essential.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and business communication skills.
  • A team-oriented mindset with the client always at the forefront.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to support the wider business.
