Location: Stevenage

Contract duration: 4 months

Belcan workforce solutions is looking for a Project Manager, this opportunity is important to the client's growth strategy of providing high quality engineering and project services to their clients. The role is on a 4 month contract basis based at their site in Stevenage, UK.

As an experienced NEC Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading, establishing, managing and administrating NEC 3, NEC 4, PSC or ECC contracts and also will be responsible for managing delivery of Capital Projects within the site capital project team.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a Project manager you will act as a single point of accountability for delivery of Capital Projects, working with the site's nominated Capital Delivery Partner as well as other strategic partners to deliver against the project brief while following the Project Management Framework (PMF).

Manage projects as identified in the Capital Plan and aligned to the PMF, including the following:

  • Complete Business Analysis stage of the PMF
  • Determine project tiering and procurement route to ensure co-ordinated approach in line with procurement guidelines.
  • Drafting of Project Investment Proposals (PIPs) and necessary submission documents for the approval of capital budgets.
  • Generation of the project Charter, User Requirement Brief (URB) and User Requirement Specification (URS)
  • Co-ordination of design reviews, safety studies, GMP reviews and constructability assessments to shape the design and planning process.
  • Preparation of Pre-Construction Information (PCI) for accountable projects as well as client HSE requirements (e.g. F10 notification).
  • Co-ordination and attendance of FATs and SATs as necessary to provide oversight and acceptance.

Qualifications

  1. Previous experience in managing NEC projects
  2. Knowledge and experience of project management, contract management through use of NEC 3 & 4, strategic planning, methodologies and construction delivery best practice
  3. Experienced in a complex stakeholder environment
  4. Hold a relevant third level qualification preferably in Engineering or related Project management discipline (Desirable)
  5. Chartered/qualified with APM, ICE, RICS etc (Desirable)
  6. NEC Project Manager Accreditation (Desirable)
  7. Working knowledge of CEMAR (Desirable)
