They have a new opportunity for a Haulage Coordinator.
Your new role
Providing on-time deliveries at an affordable cost and making sure all hauliers are accredited and adhere to the industry standards..
Managing a 3rd party fleet of over 500 vehicles covering an average of 100 deliveries in the UK every day. Improving performance whilst reducing cost. Monitoring haulage KPI's and monthly haulier performance reviews. Profit & loss management along with supplier contract negotiations. Securing haulage bookings based on customer requirements and working alongside a customer team to ensure our customer haulage requirements are met. Being proactive when haulage requirements are received the expected timeline. Receiving clear instructions on prioritising haulier bookings based on customer requirements, stock transfers and 3rd party movement. Continuous building of an effective and efficient 3rd party haulage fleet. Forward demand planning. Liaise with teams on forward delivery sales location positions & stock availability.
Pre-plan approved haulage movement for direct to vessel loading along with stock transfers to external stores for discharging vessels, all based on execution and/or trader instructions. Quarterly haulage review. Set meeting to deliver & discuss review.
What you'll need to succeed
You will require experience working within a logistics or supply chain environment . Have a sense of urgency and commitment along with demonstrating good organisation and implementation. The ability to remain calm under pressure while continuing to perform effectively. Understands the implications of your own actions on the supply chain.
Experienced working with 3rd party logistics with a good geographical knowledge of the UK. Strong numerical and negotiation skills along with excellent interpersonal
