PA Media Academy is a leading centre for media training, communications training and journalism training. We are the sister company to PA Media (formerly the Press Association), the national news agency of the UK and Ireland.

Our media training team has a stellar reputation for transforming how spokespeople perform in high-stakes communications, such as crisis media interviews, Select Committee appearances, speeches, investor pitches and the boardroom. We work with organisations across the private and public sectors, including FTSE100 companies, global brands, financial institutions, the NHS, major charities, PR and communications agencies and many more.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our team of specialist Journalist Media Trainers and continue the growth of the business. Working closely with the Media Training Manager, you will design and deliver media training and communications courses, workshops and masterclasses and manage freelance colleagues. You'll manage key client accounts and be responsible for revenue targets, turn client briefs into successful proposals and ensure courses are delivered to the highest quality to exceed their expectations. You'll also collaborate strongly with colleagues at PA Media Academy and with Marketing and other teams across PA Media Group.

This role is for four days a week, reporting to the Managing Director of PA Media Academy. Most training is delivered in person at PA's HQ in Paddington, client offices and central London broadcast studios. Some training is delivered remotely via Zoom/Teams and we also deliver in-person training overseas.

About you

Are you?

An experienced broadcast journalist with experience of delivering media training to corporate clients
Proficient in both in-person and remote delivery
Skilled at pitching for new business
Entrepreneurial and confident about leading your own business area and being responsible for revenue targets

Do you have?

A strong understanding of the media training market
Experience working in or with press offices and comms teams
First-rate organisational abilities coupled with experience of leading long-term projects and hitting goals
Excellent people management skills
