People Development Manager

An excellent opportunity has arisen to work for our established client in Reading as a People Development Manager. The main purpose of the role is to enable the employees to be the best they can be. This role will be instrumental in managing, motivating, and development support teams.

As the People Development Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing current and future staffing needs within the support functions.
  • Organising onboarding and relevant training for new and existing team members.
  • Undertake regular 1-2-1's to ensure continual communication and strong rapport building.
  • Draft, review, and agree all personal development plans.
  • Discuss and review personal objectives and KPI's.
  • Assist the Learning & Development Manager in the compilation of training needs following appraisal meetings.

The successful People Development Manager will have the following related skills / experience:

  • Passionate about culture and people.
  • At least 2 years of experience in people management / team leader.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to challenge and influence key decision makers.
  • Travel outside of operational region will be required.
