Job Requirements of this English Teacher job in Swindon:

Qualifications: Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Experience: Previous experience teaching English at UKS2, KS3, GCSE, and Functional Skills levels

Role Overview:

Additional Information:

Smart Education is recruiting an English Teacher for a small setting with a maximum of 12 students, enabling personalised learning. The supportive team seeks a colleague who shares their vision and ethos. Students come from diverse backgrounds, all with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs (SEMH), and many with other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) such as Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.

The work is varied and challenging. As a trauma and attachment-informed organisation, all staff receive extensive therapeutic training and support. The closely triangulated approach places the child at the centre of decision-making, ensuring collaboration between education and therapy professionals, parents/carers, local authority teams, and students.
