Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £50,000 - £52,000
Location: Moulton, Northampton - Office Based

The Procurement and Supply Chain Division at SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Materials Manager to join their international Manufacturing client on a full time, permanent basis.

As a Materials Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a small team, ensuring the planning and coordination of the supply chain and procurement processes across the Northampton site run smoothly and efficiently.

As a Materials Manager your daily responsibilities could include:
- Ensuring the right materials are onsite at the correct times and do not cause any delays to the production schedules.
- Manage effective inventory levels - ensuring in demand products are available and highlighting dead moving stock for investigation.
- Reviewing suppliers and the quality of products to identify cost savings and improve efficiency.
- Attending regular senior management meetings to report on forecasts and business performance, whilst working collaboratively to create ideas for streamlining business processes and performance.
- Being heavily involved in projects around contractual agreements, project management, negotiations and supplier onboarding.
- Being aware of supply chain issues and challenges to identify quick solutions.
- Ensuring all works are completed inline with quality, compliance and business guidelines and policies.
- Building strong relationships with suppliers to ensure SLA's and KPI's are achieved.
- Managing, coaching and upskilling a small team of procurement and supply chain individuals.

The successful Materials Manager will ideally come from a Manufacturing background as you will understand what it is like to work in an ever changing, fast paced working environment.

Essential experience required:
- Able to showcase your experience leading a high performing procurement/supply chain team and building an open and motivational workforce.
- Strong understanding of MRP systems and processes.
- Compliance Management.
- Identifying and leading process improvement changes.
- Business and department reporting.
- Budget management.
- Excellent stakeholder and supplier engagement.
