Posted by RecruitmentRevolution.com.

Did you see us in the news recently? When artist David Shrigley needed to source 6,000 copies of Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code for an art project there was only one place he could go - our leading bookseller brand - AwesomeBooks. With 25,000 books shipped daily it's no wonder we need best-in-class technology to help our team deliver their best work...

Are you an experienced Business Analyst or Product Owner?
Do you have a passion for sustainability? (Us too! It's quite literally the reason we exist.)
Are you a strongly motivated learner committed to continual learning and development?

If so, this might be the perfect opportunity for you!

Note: this is an internal Business Analyst / Product Owner role shaping systems and tech for our people (and maybe suppliers).

Role Info:

Business Analyst / Product Owner
Wallingford , Oxfordshire Based / 2 Days Working from Home (Tues/Weds/Thu mandatory in office)
Competitive Market Salary

Values: Passion for Books, Sustainability and Using Literacy to Empower Others
Company: Sustainability Focussed eCommerce Distribution
Your Background / Skills: Business Analysis, Product Management, Agile Methodologies, Scrum, Kanban, Sustainability

About us:

We are a bookselling business with a difference! We source over 500,000 used books per week with a singular mission - to stop these books going to landfill and to allow the ideas and knowledge they contain to be shared as many times as possible. In doing so, we have a sustainable model of retailing right at the heart of the way we work. Why compel readers to buy new copies of books which already exist and can be reused?

Of course, not every book has pre-loved copies available. So we offer a further 6 million books to our customers, meaning they have the full range of buying choices available at their fingertips when buying their books. We don't stop there...for every book bought from us, we donate a book to one of our literacy partners. This means in the act of buying something as simple as a book, our customers are powering literacy and opportunity for others where their circumstances might necessitate being given a helping hand.

The Business Analyst / Product Owner Opportunity:

Your ability to understand both business needs and technical constraints will be key to your success in this role. You own the product backlog for one or more teams, and be responsible for ensuring that stakeholders requirements are appropriately detailed and prioritised.

This opportunity can be either full-time in the office or hybrid, with Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as core office days and Monday and Friday working from home.

About you:

+ Minimum of 3 years experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in an agile environment
