Contract Part-Time Excel Modeller Position in Marlow, Bucks

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Our client, a leading organization in their field, is seeking a skilled professional to join their team on a part-time contract basis. This role offers a blend of in-office and remote work, providing flexibility and an engaging work environment.

The Role

As a Part-Time Excel Modeller, you will play a crucial role in managing the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) ledgers. Your primary responsibility will be to produce detailed weekly cashflows using Excel. You will be expected to work efficiently and accurately to ensure that all financial data is up-to-date and correctly reported.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing small AP and AR ledgers.
  • Producing detailed weekly cashflow reports in Excel.
  • Utilising Xero software to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Working collaboratively with the finance team to ensure all financial operations run smoothly.
  • Providing insightful financial analysis and reporting.

Initially, you will be required to work from the office in Marlow, Bucks, to familiarise yourself with the team and processes. After this period, the role will transition to a remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from home.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong proficiency in Excel and experience with Xero software. You should have a meticulous approach to managing financial data and be comfortable working independently. Your ability to produce detailed and accurate cashflow reports will be critical to the success of this role.

Key qualifications and skills:

  • Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to create complex formulas and detailed financial models.
  • Experience with Xero software is essential.
  • Previous experience managing AP and AR ledgers.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a remote team.

The Offer

This contract position is expected to last for 2 months, with the possibility of extension based on business needs and performance. You will be working 2 days a week, allowing you to balance your professional and personal commitments effectively.

The hourly rate for this role ranges between £15 and £22, depending on your experience and expertise. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to important financial operations within a well-regarded organization.
