Early Years Practitioner

We are delighted to announce two vacancies for dedicated Early Years Practitioners at a reputable Early Years Centre in North Birmingham. The Centre prides itself on delivering outstanding day care for children aged 0 to 4 years, alongside wraparound care for 3 and 4-year-olds, and before and after school provision for primary aged children, including holiday clubs.
Positions Available:
- Post 1: 34 hours per week, term time only
- Post 2: 28 hours per week, term time only
These roles are scheduled to begin in September 2024.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Support Room Leaders in fostering an organised, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment.
- Aid in the achievement of developmental milestones for children.
- Execute the planned programme of activities in line with the Room Leader's guidance.
- Perform observations of children to aid in the assessment of their learning and development.
- Maintain effective communication with parents to support the children's well-being.
- Operate under the direction of the Early Years Centre Manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A collaborative team player with strong organisational skills.
- Proficient in numeracy, literacy, and ICT.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to establish positive relationships.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality childcare and education.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
