Job Title: Payroll and Pensions Specialist

Location: Uxbridge

Remuneration: Competitive salary and benefits package

Contract Details: 12 Month temporary contract

Responsibilities:

Be the go-to person for complex queries on Payroll and Pensions issues, providing support to the Payroll Team for standard queries.

Ensure accurate and timely payment for all University staff, in alignment with their employment terms, University Financial Regulations, and applicable legislation.

Conduct monthly payroll processes and reviews, establishing a clear audit trail leading up to monthly payroll sign-off.

Prepare and submit monthly bac's files to the Finance Department, ensuring staff are paid on schedule.

Assist in implementing revised rates of pay, variable allowances, and other payment and deduction changes as per nationally negotiated agreements.

Support internal and external audits of Payroll processes, ensuring compliance with statutory year-end requirements and new tax year changes.

Take charge of salary overpayment recovery, employee communications, and monthly monitoring, escalating concerns to the Senior Payroll and Pensions Manager when necessary.

Oversee the administration and activities of all pensions schemes offered by the University, providing employees with the required information and assistance.

Collect and reconcile monthly and annual returns for various pension schemes, ensuring compliance with auditing requirements.

As the Payroll and Pensions Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the full range of payroll and pension arrangements, activities, and policies for our client, a well-established organisation. You will ensure adherence to financial regulations, payroll procedures, and statutory regulations.
