Our client based in Woking are seeking a Grounds Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and efficiency of waste management processes as well gardening and painting of the site. This role requires someone with experience in a similar role, and you must be available immediately to start!
Duties:
- Sort different waste materials into appropriate areas for recycling and disposal
- Liaise with waste collection points to coordinate waste management
- Unblock bin chutes in a timely manner
- Complete the cleaning cycle of the bin chute
- Utilise jet washing equipment to clean and maintain the paving areas
- Maintain and care for garden areas, including planting, watering, pruning, grass cutting and weeding
- Perform painting tasks, including preparing surfaces, mixing paints, and applying coatings to various surfaces
- Report any maintenance or repair needs
- Management of complaints/problems/issues arising
Requirements:
- Previous experience in waste management, cleaning, painting, gardening, or a related field
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques and equipment
- Ability to operate jet washing equipment would be advantageous
