Sales Representative remote based

Sales Representative required for my client, a global leading developer and manufacturer of products for the life science and biotech markets. My client are a global business with manufacturing sites worldwide. As Sales Representative you will be a key contributor to the sales cycle by qualifying and prospecting for leads and growing sales / developing accounts. You will be responsible for managing the customer sales process and achieving sales objectives for specified territory and/or group of accounts. You will have a sales mentality and thrive on exciting opportunities to grow smaller existing customers and establishing new customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains a strong understanding of company technology and products.
  • Develops existing and new accounts within the assigned territory via inbound, outbound and sales lead engagement to understand customers' needs and guide them to the best products to meet these needs.
  • Works with marketing and sales leadership to plan lead generation campaigns to target specific customers.
  • Works closely with the regional Business Development Manager, the broader sales team, and other cross functional teams to bring in cross-functional and technical expertise as needed to further develop and close opportunities.
  • Co-ordinates with internal resources to resolve customer questions or objections.
  • Achieves sales targets and responsible for accurately forecasting and maintaining leads, account details and up-to-date opportunity information in the CRM database.

Key skills and qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in life sciences or similar
  • Proven track record of inside sales in life science/diagnostic industry would be an advantage.
  • Ability to connect and build relationship with customers remotely.
  • Skilled use of online and social tools to reach prospective clients through digital channels, including web conferences, industry meetings, SME news etc
  • Demonstrable ability to quickly comprehend technical concepts and articulate them well to others.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and CRM (Salesforce) database.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Relationship builder - Adept at building and successfully maintaining effective and profitable business relationships with customers.
