An established insurance business is collaborating with the team at NET Recruit to help fill a Commercial Account Handler position, which has become available in the Kendal area. With customer satisfaction at the top of their priorities, this business has seen a significant amount of success in recent years, leading to an excellent expansion plan and the intention of continuing this success into the next few years by not only growing their offerings but ensuring they have the human infrastructure to support their clients and continue delivering the high levels of satisfaction that has now been expected of them.

Joining the dynamic client facing team, the position holder will have a portfolio of clients to look after and have responsibility for servicing a range of commercial insurance policies. This is a crucial role in the ongoing expansion of the business and will ensure that the high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained at all times and to drive profitability for the business.

Your Role and Responsibilities

While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the generation and retention of new business by undertaking activities such as contract reviews, midterm changes and leveraging strategy information
  • Providing cohesive account management and service delivery duties for existing and new clients, ensuring that client needs are met in line with the agreed terms
  • Handling client queries and questions, amendments, renewals and mid-term adjustments as these occur, in a professional and proactive manner
  • Developing key relationships with prospective and existing clients to drive business growth and provide the best service possible
  • Evaluating risks, reviewing loss experience, cash flow and financials, communicating the impact of options and providing recommendations regarding product lines to clients based off of prepared analytics
  • Understanding the changing market conditions, ensuring that compliance standard knowledge is up to date and that all activities comply with this

What you will need to Apply:

To be considered for this position, you should have commercial insurance knowledge, gained from either a handler, underwriting or claims background, and applicants should ideally also possess Cert CII qualification. Experience within a client or stakeholder facing role is also sought after, with experience specifically in customer service and coordination desired. Applicants will have an excellent standard of communication in both verbal and written methods.
