Accounts Receivable Clerk Role Overview:

My industry leading client requires additional support within the Accounts Receivable team. This is an excellent opportunity to join, support and develop your experience within an excellent organisation as it goes through a period of growth and development.

Previous experience in a sales ledger, billing, banking or cash allocation position is essential.

Accounts Receivable Clerk Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and allocating payments from customers via multiple methods and systems.
  • Validating and verifying remittances.
  • Support the Credit Control team with customer reconciliations and ledger management.
  • Process rebates, customer refunds, write offs and write backs as required.
  • Liaise with customers to request receipts without remittance advices.
  • Monitoring and reporting of unmatched payments.
  • Support in the financial month end process including creation of bank file journals.
  • High volume billing and sales ledger invoice processing.
  • Assist with any other duties required within Accounts Receivable Team.

Accounts Receivable Clerk Required Experience:

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable position with exposure to; billing, cash allocation and sales ledger duties.
  • Experience of working within a larger business or shared service centre environment is highly advantageous.
  • The ability to prioritise workload and effectively manage time to oversee multiple accounts and multi-disciplined functions.
  • Experience within a high-volume transactional department.
  • Intermediate Excel skills and the ability to learn and use new IT systems quickly.
  • Problem solving abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to build and develop relationships with team members, senior management, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work on own initiative whilst supporting a team function.
  • A motivated, positive and self starter approach to tasks and duties
  • A high degree of accuracy with the ability to manage high volumes of data.
  • The ability to start immediately/ on a reduced notice period and commit to a minimum 6 month contract.
