Our established client based on the outskirts of Cardiff is looking to recruit for an additional Estimator into there busy team.
Job spec:
- Reviewing of architectural specifications and drawings.
- Build up detailed quotations, proposals, and cost breakdowns.
- Liaise with main contractors and supply chain partners with regards to specifications.
- Ability to suggest specification changes when needed.
- Assessing the risk levels associated with a project.
- Assisting with bids for new contracts and supporting the activities of buyers
- Monitoring the costs at the various stages of a project to ensure it stays within the estimated costs.
Person Spec:
- Estimating experience within the Construction Industry, preferably with strong knowledge of windows and doors.
- Familiar with using in house estimating systems.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good numerical skills.
- Computer literate and ideally with knowledge of the pricing software.
- Car driver ideally
- Ability to work in a team with a good sense of humour.
