Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:45am - 17:00pm (30 hours)

Pay Rate: £12.18 per hour

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative in Macclesfield, to provide efficient and effective customer support over the telephone. This role is focused on resolving a wide range of customer enquiries at the first point of contact, ensuring a positive and seamless customer experience.

Principal Responsibilities:

  1. Handle Customer Enquiries:
  • Receive and address customer enquiries and service requests via telephone, aiming to resolve as many issues as possible during the initial contact.
  1. Maintain Customer Records:
  • Accurately update IT systems to log customer details and service requests, ensuring all records are current and precise.
  1. Ensure Compliance:
  • Stay informed about relevant regulatory and legal standards to ensure compliance in all daily activities.
  1. Manage Feedback:
  • Handle customer complaints, compliments, and suggestions following the council's established procedures.
  1. Drive Efficiency and Improvement:
  • Contribute innovative ideas to enhance efficiency and improve customer-facing processes.
  1. Support Organisational Objectives:
  • Understand and support the broader goals of Customer Services, including participation in campaigns like promoting self-service or direct debit payments.
  1. Team Collaboration:
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide coverage and support, ensuring continuous service delivery.
