My client is looking to recruit a Payroll Officer to join the Finance team in the retail industry based in Brigg. The organisation is a leading player in the retail industry, with over 50 stores across the country. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes and ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery. The candidate will initially be offered a 6 months contract, however this may be extended up to 12 months.

Description

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and benefits.
  • Maintain up-to-date payroll records and resolve any payroll discrepancies.
  • Prepare and submit reports on payroll activities.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Finance departments.
  • Address employee queries regarding payroll.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the payroll function.

Profile

  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • A solid understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Job Offer

  • Offering a salary of £28,000-£30,000 depending on experience.
  • Immediate start.
  • Brigg location.
  • 6-month contract with the potential to be extended up to 12 months.
