We are on the lookout for a Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in SolidWorks to join our innovative team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about robotic machinery and looking to make a significant impact within an engineering consultancy setting.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Design and develop complex mechanical systems for robotic machinery using SolidWorks.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs with electronic and control systems.
  • Produce and maintain detailed design documentation, including technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing processes.
  • Perform simulations and finite element analysis (FEA) to validate and optimise designs.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting during the manufacturing and commissioning phases.
  • Implement design improvements based on operational feedback and advancements in technology.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrable experience in mechanical design, with a strong portfolio of work involving robotic systems or similar complex machinery.
  • Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software.
  • A solid understanding of engineering principles, material selection, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and liaise with stakeholders across various departments.
