We are partnering with a highly regarded specialty insurer that is looking for a talented Pricing Actuary to join their growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the underwriting function, working closely with management to drive pricing strategies and profitability analysis, and ensuring accurate rate management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance and manage pricing tools, improving their functionality and usability.
- Track and evaluate risk-adjusted rate changes, ensuring models align with internal standards and guidelines.
- Lead portfolio reviews, providing insights into underwriting exposure and identifying loss trends across different segments.
- Offer detailed pricing support for individual accounts, working collaboratively with underwriters on account reviews.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified or near-qualified actuary with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance pricing, with reserving knowledge as an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, capable of building credibility with senior stakeholders.
- Advanced skills in Excel (including VBA) and SQL; additional familiarity with Python and Power BI is beneficial.
