Arcas Technology is partnered with a leading Telecommunications company who are currently looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis.
The company seeks a candidate to provide hands-on IT support, ensure seamless service delivery, manage hardware and software, and assist with cybersecurity and infrastructure maintenance for internal and customer systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing laptops and desktops per company or customer specifications, ensuring compliance with security policies and accreditation standards.
- Ensuring the efficient operation and regular updates of desktop systems, monitoring performance and usage while addressing hardware/software obsolescence.
- Manage and maintain on-site audiovisual equipment such as projectors and video conferencing tools.
- Work in line with the organisation's cybersecurity policies.
- Handle the setup and configuration of hardware (such as IP phones, mobile devices, workstations, peripherals) and software, troubleshooting any technical problems that arise.
- Help manage and support designated customer IT infrastructure and networks.
- Assist internal users by diagnosing and resolving issues, maintaining ownership of problems until resolution, keeping users updated on progress, and ensuring all issues are logged in the Service Desk system.
- Liaise with third-party vendors when additional support is needed to resolve IT problems.
- Participate in the on-call IT support rota, responding to urgent matters, including both remote troubleshooting and on-site support for the company and customer networks as necessary.

- Windows 10/11 desktops, including troubleshooting, patching and building
- Windows Server 2019/2022 administration
- MS Exchange
- Active Directory Group Policies
- Good understanding of IT Security
- VMware
- MDM support and administration
