Financial Accountant
Job Type: Full-time, permanent, hybrid working
Location: Ipswich
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 per annum
Our client is looking for a meticulous Financial Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will handle the preparation of both consolidated and subsidiary statutory accounts in accordance with IFRS. Additionally, they will gain expertise in the Group's consolidated reporting system, Magnitude. Day-to-day of the role:
- Prepare consolidated statutory accounts and subsidiary statutory accounts under IFRS.
- Become a finance system expert with the Group's consolidated reporting system, Magnitude, and provide support to the wider accounting team.
- Prepare the monthly consolidated cash flow for the UK.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Support the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns and CIS tax.
- Assist the Head of Finance and FP&A Manager with reporting and projects.
- Support annual internal and external audits.
- Conduct KPI reporting for future bids and tenders.
- Support the Assistant Financial Accounts with tasks such as fixed assets and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Act as the first point of contact for any technical accounting requirements.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in financial accounting and preparation of accounts under IFRS.
- Familiarity with financial reporting systems, ideally Magnitude.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, VAT returns, and CIS tax.
- Ability to support both internal and external audits.
- Competence in KPI reporting and technical accounting.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
