DK Recruitment are partnering exclusively with an Exeter based client in their search for a Finance Manager. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing collaborative and dynamic company with their employees being at the forefront of their priorities. The position is planned to develop and grow into a Financial Controller position.

The Finance Manager position is a newly created role which is going to play a crucial role with the companies growth and will see itself evolve into a more senior position.

The Role

  • Monthly Consolidated Accounts: Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts for the group.
  • Month-End Close: Oversee the month-end close processes for all entities to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, PAYE, and Corporation tax, with support from external advisors.
  • Statutory Accounts: Prepare annual statutory accounts, including consolidated accounts, ensuring adherence to relevant standards.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for external stakeholders, including banks and auditors, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
  • ERP Finance System: Take responsibility for the ERP finance system, ensuring its effective use and maintenance.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team, including one Accounts Assistant, fostering a productive and supportive work environment.
  • Process Improvement: Drive the development and implementation of scalable and efficient processes and controls to enhance the overall financial operations.

About You

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with post-qualification experience
  • Experience in a multi-entity environment with ownership of the consolidation process.
  • Experience working in an SME environment, with exposure to dynamic and fast-growing settings, is highly desirable.
  • International experience is advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel.

What You Get in Return

  • £55,000 - £65,000, range depending on experience relevance
  • Hybrid working. Flexible but 3 days office/ 2 days home working is expected
