Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join their team. This is a temporary position with an immediate start date, offering a competitive hourly rate of £11.44. As a Production Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production process and ensuring the smooth operations of the manufacturing plant.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the production of goods, following established guidelines and procedures.
- Operating machinery and equipment, ensuring safety and accuracy in all tasks.
- Monitoring product quality and reporting any defects or issues to the production manager.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the production area.
- Assisting with inventory management, including stocktaking and replenishment.
- Collaborating with the production team to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Following health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects when required.
