Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join their team. This is a temporary position with an immediate start date, offering a competitive hourly rate of £11.44. As a Production Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production process and ensuring the smooth operations of the manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the production of goods, following established guidelines and procedures.
  • Operating machinery and equipment, ensuring safety and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Monitoring product quality and reporting any defects or issues to the production manager.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the production area.
  • Assisting with inventory management, including stocktaking and replenishment.
  • Collaborating with the production team to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Following health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects when required.
