Accountant

We are currently seeking an Accountant with strong management accounting skills and experience in people management. The successful candidate will ideally be Qualified by Experience (QBE) or hold a relevant qualification, with proficiency in SAP considered a significant advantage.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide leadership and direction to the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in their work.
- Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Develop and maintain robust internal control procedures to safeguard financial integrity.
- Coordinate the budgeting process, offer financial forecasting, and analyse variances to suggest improvements.
- Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
- Collaborate with the finance team to enhance accounting functions and operations.
- Contribute to the development of financial strategies and policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an accounting role with management responsibilities.
- Solid understanding of management accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- QBE or a relevant finance/accounting qualification.
- Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems is highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
