The Role:

As a Key Account Manager for South Wales and the South-West, you will play a pivotal role in managing and expanding the territory. This dynamic position involves building strong relationships with key stakeholders including wholesalers, pharmacies, GP surgeries, GP federations, county councils, and local health authorities. You will also be responsible for delivering product training and supporting your sales team in achieving business objectives from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with wholesalers, pharmacies, GP surgeries, and local health authorities.
  • Identify and seize opportunities for business growth and product promotion within your territory.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets by promoting a range of point-of-care solutions.
  • Deliver thorough product training to customers and support staff, ensuring a deep understanding of the offerings.
  • Conduct regular client visits and calls to maintain and grow existing business relationships.
  • Tailor solutions to meet specific customer needs, demonstrating an understanding of their challenges and requirements.
  • Analyse territory strengths to promote relevant products effectively.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to uncover new business opportunities.
  • Manage your schedule and appointments efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions.
  • Work closely with the Sales Director and team members to drive company goals.
  • Participate in team meetings, contributing to overall sales strategies.

About You

  • Proven track record in sales, ideally within the medical devices or point-of-care diagnostics industry.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to comprehend and convey technical product information.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in IT, with experience using iPads, phones, and laptops.
  • Dynamic, flexible, and able to prioritize workload effectively.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Thrives in a collaborative, family-feel work environment.
