Business Development Consultant

We are seeking a proactive Business Engagement Officer to join our team. This role involves engaging with a diverse range of employers, from supporting large organisations in maximising their apprenticeship levy to advising SMEs on how apprenticeships can benefit their operations. The successful candidate will manage a territory plan to generate new business opportunities and provide training solutions to close skills gaps.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Engage with a broad range of employers, including large levy-paying businesses and SMEs.
- Advise on the benefits and implementation of apprenticeship programmes.
- Manage a territory plan that supports all college sites across the group.
- Identify and generate new business opportunities.
- Provide training solutions for employees to address skills gaps.
- Identify recruitment needs, including work experience and industry placement opportunities.
- Maintain strong relationships with employers and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good working knowledge of IT systems.
- Experience in a busy, customer-focused environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in engaging with employers and understanding their business needs.
- Knowledge of apprenticeship programmes and the apprenticeship levy is desirable
