Accounts Assistant
- Annual Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 (subject to experience)

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Administrator to join our small, friendly team in the metals industry. This role is ideal for someone with a proactive, hands-on approach who thrives in a dynamic environment. The position involves handling a high volume of purchase invoices in multiple currencies and providing support across various financial functions.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Process high volume purchase invoices in multiple currencies.
- Match, batch, and code invoices.
- Execute payment processes twice weekly.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any supplier queries.
- Conduct daily bank reconciliations.
- Provide cover for sales ledger, credit control, and other areas within finance as needed.
- Assist with month-end audits and various project work.
- Perform general office duties.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SAP is highly advantageous but not essential.
- Proven ability in handling high volumes of financial data accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping is preferred.
- AAT, CIMA, ACCA certification is a plus but not required.
