Management Accountant

  • Location: Sunderland (site based)
  • Salary: £35,000

We are looking for a Management Accountant to work alongside the Finance Director to support the Senior Management Team and wider site department Managers. Providing accurate monthly management accounts and producing monthly profitability and KPI information to help identify risks and opportunities.

Main Duties:

  • Preparation of month end reporting and supporting commentary
  • Produce monthly reports and analysis for the site including GL cost reports
  • Experience of working with fiancé systems ideally Business Central
  • Customer profitability
  • Contribute to the development of Finance KPI's
  • Balance sheet reconciliation
  • Fixed Asset Additions & Disposals
  • Debtor's review
  • Preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts
  • Support in the yearly external audit
  • Continuing commitment to continuous improvements
  • Any additional ad hoc tasks as required by the business

Skills/Experience:

  • Qualified management accountant either through experience or qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
  • Experience of working with stakeholders of differing levels of seniority and non-financial stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel skills to enable manipulation of multiple data sources to deliver detailed analytics is essential
  • Prior experience of Business Central is advantageous
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
  • Able to prioritise workload
  • Highly organised / structured approach, with the ability to co-ordinate several different tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Confident, self-motivated with an understanding of deadlines and the need to achieve them.
  • Proactive in identifying areas of improvement and working on own initiative
  • Be a good team player
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Ability to challenge and not accept the status quo
